Linda Tadic, Director of Operations, ARTstor

Linda Tadic is Director of Operations for ARTstor. She has over 15 years experience working with and managing digital, film, and broadcasting collections. Prior to her position with ARTstor, she was Manager of the Digital Library at Home Box Office (HBO). Previously, she was the first Digital Projects Coordinator at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. 

Ms. Tadic’s archival film and broadcasting experience includes the position of Director of the Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection at the University of Georgia. During her tenure in that position, the Archives completed several audio and television preservation and cataloging projects, most notably the NEH-funded “African-Americans on Television in the Peabody Awards Collection” project. She has also worked at the UCLA Film and Television Archive, Pacific Film Archive, and, as a consultant for the National Moving Image Database at the American Film Institute, cataloged collections at the Museum of Modern Art, Anthology Film Archives, Electronic Arts Intermix, and the Hearst Museum of Anthropology at UC Berkeley. She was president of the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) from 1998-1999, and is currently co-chair of its Digital Initiatives Committee. Ms. Tadic lectures extensively on issues relating to digital and archival audiovisual access and preservation.

She holds a BFA in music and art from California Institute of the Arts, an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego, and an MLIS from the University of California, Berkeley. Ms. Tadic is also an independent filmmaker, and has had screenings at the Museum of Modern Art, Filmforum in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Cinematheque, and other venues.
